But because of the change in Ascendant, in the 9 p.m. chart, Mars in Pisces is now the most in uential planet (40/63) having in uence on every Board of Directors, with Jupiter in Gemini a distant second (24/58) with in uence on every Board of Directors except Saturn’s. Saturn in Capricorn loses the majority of its in uence (11/17).
Let’s take a quick look at why the change in in uence matters.
In both charts, Jupiter represents Sondheim’s money. Pisces is on the cusp of the 2nd house in the 3:30 a.m. chart, and Sagittarius is on the cusp of the 2nd house in the 9 p.m. chart. In the 3:30 a.m. chart, money is a prime motivating factor for Sondheim. In that chart, Jupiter also rules the
11th house of acquisition and the pursuit of happiness, so he would believe money makes him happy, and Jupiter is the almuten of the 6th house, so he would be willing to work hard to make money. Mars in Pisces rules the 3rd and 10th houses, so he cares about his career and public reputation (10th house) and writing (3rd house), but not nearly as much as he cares about money.
e 9 p.m. chart paints a di erent picture. Here, Mars in Pisces is the most in uential planet, and Mars now rules the 1st house of identity and actual happiness, and the 6th house of work. Jupiter in Gemini rules the 2nd house of money and the 5th house of creativity. Jupiter retains a lot of in uence, so
money is still important, but what matters most to Sondheim is that he be able to express his identity and his individuality (1st house) through his work (6th house).
The changes to the Moon and Sondheim’s safety needs are even more signi cant.
Sondheim’s fundamental safety needs don’t change much between the charts, even taking into account the slight di erence between the two Boards of Directors. In both charts, the Moon is in Capricorn, so Sondheim needs structure, boundaries, stability, and a clear sense of authority to feel safe. e changes in house rulerships shift some of the speci c areas of concern, but these are minor adjustments.
