Iknow the natal chart is not a crystal ball. When a Most often, clients come to me with questions like

be “psychic line” questions like, “When will I meet the man I’m going to marry?” or “When will I get a job?” I can handle it. I explain that astrology can’t answer questions like that. If the person asking the question is open to deeper work, I can explore what’s underneath the question and we can use astrology as a guide to insight and healing. Otherwise, I apologize and say I can’t help them.
Occasionally, a client will come to me with a speci c question, like “Is this a good time to change jobs?” or “Should I buy
this house?” and I can handle these questions, too. ese questions
are clearly horary questions, and don’t involve the natal chart. Astrology can answer these questions in an accurate, meaningful way, but I can’t.
Horary astrology is not a part of my professional skill set, so in the rare instances when a client wants an answer to a horary question, I refer them to another astrologer.
“What’s going on with my career?” or “What can I expect in the next year?” ese are the kinds of questions that I associate with predictive astrology. e answers to these questions can be found by exploring how the natal chart is being triggered. Providing speci c, accurate answers to these types of questions is what I hoped to teach in the Online Predictive Astrology Class.
And that was my rst big mistake.
I expected that triggers to the natal chart can
identify both what happens (events) and when it happens (timing). I got into trouble because unconsciously, I expected those answers to be
precise,speci c,andaccurate. I expected that a talented predictive astrologer could look at a client’s chart and identify not only what they will experience in the
future, but also when they will experience it.
In other words, I expected the natal chart to work like a
crystal ball.
