If you’re reading this, you’re interested in astrology.
You may dream of becoming a professional astrologer. You may simply want to use astrology for your own personal growth and development. But in either case,
you want to get good at it. You want to be able to do more with astrology than you can at the moment.
You want to become a talented astrologer.
Chances are, you’ve already invested time, energy, and money in reaching this goal. You’ve read books, attended workshops, and taken classes. But you may have skipped over the  rst and most important step.
 ere’s an important question you must ask yourself, and your success in astrology depends entirely on your answer to that question.
 ere’s no right or wrong answer to the question.  ere’s just your answer to it. But if you don’t know your personal answer to the question, you will never
become a talented astrologer.
If you don’t ask—and answer—this question, you
will never succeed in astrology. So here’s the question:
Why do you want to learn astrology?
You may think this question is obvious, or even silly, but it’s not. Astrology is a vast  eld with thousands of
applications. Without a clear answer to this question, you won’t know where you want to go, you won’t know how to get there, and you won’t know when
you’ve arrived.
Answering this question can be more challenging
than you expect. Here are two other questions that will help you to answer the big question.
What Kinds of Astrology Interest You?
Astrology is vast. It’s been around for thousands of years, and it has many varied branches, schools of thought, and applications. What follows are just a few examples of di erent kinds of astrology that might interest you.
You may  nd all of them fascinating. But keep in mind that each category of astrology involves its own set of skills, and those skills don’t always translate between applications.
